No, it's a lichen: a partnership of a fungus and an alga. It prefers brighter light and drier conditions than true mosses.
Natural or preserved reindeer moss?
This natural version revives with water. Our preserved reindeer moss is dyed and stays soft with no care at all.
It arrived dry. Is it alive?
Yes. Revita-Moss ships dormant. Rehydrate it and it softens and regains its colour.
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes, in shade with consistent moisture. If moss already grows naturally nearby, your spot is likely a good fit.
Is it the same every time?
It's a natural product, so colour and texture vary, and small bits of organic material are normal.
